Gunryu faded into a large open prairie dotted with a few trees. This was the Training Grounds, with several surprises hidden underneath the ground to test new recruits. This time, however, it was going to be used to prove that one recruit deserved to be in the Ekihana. He thought about the file he hadn't been able to find, and the fact that he didn't know any of the opponent's abilities or powers.
Nonetheless, Gunryu had faced more powerful opponent's with less. At least he had a name: Kisai Taida. He looked across the faintly blowing tall grass to the spot he had seen the opponent walking from.

Another Shinigami, preferring to walk instead of appear, came into view from the tree line. He yawned and scratched his brown beard, looking at Gunryu. "So, I guess you're my opponent? I wonder how this will turn out...but if it's ok with you, let's just go through the motions and, I don't know, maybe I'll just give up...I don't really want to fight..." he said sort of dismally, as he moved some hair away from his eyes. His hair was quite long and mangy, obviously uncared for. It was the same color as his beard, but contrasted his emerald eyes in the light. Other then that, the man was wearing a normal Shinigami uniform, his Zanpaktou lazily sheathed on his left hip.
"I'm Kisai Taida. Perhaps you know of my less lazy little brother, Litoku?" said the man, doing a slight bow as he nearly fell from his feet, obviously not wanting to exert the muscle effort to stay up. "But if you don't, then just know I'm Kisai Taida, I guess..." he mumbled, yawning again.

"Well I don't see any point in being lazy and slow about this," Gunryu said quickly. He drew both Makai and Joukai and held them in front of him. "Heaven and Hell, Crash together! Tsuinkasin!" He yelled as the twin katanas and the Zanpakutoh on his back dissapeared, reiatsu spreading from his fingertips to his shoulders, making his right arm covered in white and his left in black.
He jumped and dashed at his opponent head-on, his fist raised to Superman punch Kisai.

Kisai jumped back into some trees as Gunryu jumped at him, dodging whatever attack Gunryu planned on initiating long before he could initiate it. "Man...not fair...I wanted to take it easy, too..." he said. He drew his Zanpaktou and started touching the side of his head with the blunt end, as if he was thinking. "I guess I might as well...but I'm not gonna like it..." he said, looking at Gunryu.
"Bankai. (Insert Japanese name for "All-Knowing Owl" here.)." he said, as he flipped his Zanpaktou to face his chest and stabbed himself through the heart. There was a flash of pink Reitsu as this happened, temporarily blinding Gunryu. However, when it faded, it just showed Kisai standing on the branch still, slumped a bit. His eyes seemed to be closed, and he seemed out of it for the time being.

Gunryu did nothing as the whole thing screamed "TRAP!" in his mind, instead he paced outside of the line of trees...

It wasn't long after before Kisai lifted his head. He looked at Gunryu quizzically, as if he was seeing him for the first time, then nodded. At first glance, it didn't seem like much was different about Kisai. However, upon closer examination, one could see his Zanpaktou was gone. Furthermore, he wore a gold necklace around his neck, with a small gold amulet. Although it was gold, it had a small crystal the swirled and glowed, shifting colors ever few seconds. Also, his eyes, instead of emerald green, were now white. Kisai didn't say anything as he waited for Gunryu.

Hm... Gunryu thought to himself. A bankai. This is very unexpected. I think I'll need to start using my own abilities to get him to attack me.
So Gunryu concentrated Reiatsu into a familiar form in his open right hand, a black ball forming in it. Formally known as Cero, this was Gunryu's own version that had some twists to it. He had fought and "stole" many abilities from many different races, and therefore could combine them in any way.
The cero extended and condensed, forming a shaft of complete darkness. In his right hand, another, longer shaft appeared and bent back, Pure white, as though it were a bow. Gunryu strung the shaft into the reiatsu bow and focused his aim.
Pulling back on the arrow, he extended it so that he appeared as the best quincy bowmen do, however, just before releasing the arrow, he did something new. The first arrow split into seven that lined the string from top to bottom, and each one had a cero on the end of them.
Using Reiatsu to propel them faster and further, He released all seven at once, each of them forming a septagon around Kisai, then each of them stopping and reversing there direction, attempting to hit Kisai in the back, all concentrating on one point: his heart.

As the Reiatsu came towards Kisai, the pendant suddenly stopped changing colors, focusing on white. As that happened, a small white Aura appeared around him. However, it was extremely weak and wouldn't withstand the blasts at all.
Then, just as the Ceros touched the Aura, they disappeared, not a scratch on Kisai. At the same time, the Aura increased in power equal to the combined power of all 7 Ceros. Kisai then pointed his finger at Gunryu with his right hand, as a white blast from the Aura fired, equal to the amount of power Gunryu unleashed on him.

Gunryu responded quickly,the bow disappearing as he put both hands in front of him, releasing a beam of black reiatsu the absorbed the blast of Aura and kept going straight towards Kisai.
Not wanting to stay in one spot for to long, before he even knew if the attack hit or not, He sped out into the middle of the tall grass, standing right next to a tree in the middle of the plain.

Kisai didn't even wait for his blast to be absorbed as he disappeared, appearing behind Gunryu about 10 feet away, the black blast hitting nothing. "If I'm not mistaken, perhaps you're wanting to think of a plan?" he said to Gunryu. However, the voice that spoke was most definately not the one that Kisai had used earlier. This one was much deeper, and held a sense of authority that was unmatched.
"Let me at least explain some things to you, at least about this Bankai. It has two true abilities. The first is a slightly confusing one. But it explains why I am not Kisai. It allows me, his Zanpaktou, temporarily take over his body, letting Kisai rest in this-" said Kisai, as his Zanpaktou materialized in his right hand, then disappeared. "You may call me Owl. As for my second power, it's quite self-explanatory. It allows my vast knowledge of the universe and the working of parallel-dimensions to become tangible. With this pendant, I am able to draw upon powers from all other dimensions I know about. And as my name suggests, I know almost everything." he said, as he fired another white blast at Gunryu from his hands.

Gunryu raised his left arm quickly, the Aura being absorbed in a matter of seconds. He lowered his arm afterwards and looked at his opponent.
"Well then, Owl. It appears that you're my new opponent. I wish you the best of luck and I will let you know one thing about me: I will never die." With that he shot forward, a long white reiatsu blade sprouting from his hand as he aimed the stab towards Owl/Kisai's heart.

Owl held up his right index finger as he pointed it forward to stop the Reitsu blade. As the blade touched the finger, however, it would disappear, more of it disappearing the more of it touched the finger. At the same time, Owl's Aura increased by the same amount. "Believe what you must." was all Owl said as, from his left hand, another white blast fired, now equal to the 7 Ceros, and the Reitsu blade combined.

Right when the first bit of his blade hit the finger, Gunryu whispered: "Fallen angels weep for me, Makai." as he said this the black reiatsu on his arm spread to the rest of his body, covering it completely. He grew a tail and two great horns, continuing the motion of the stab as his body absorbed the beam.
He spun in the last moment, moving hs hand towards Owl/Kisai's heart more until he grabbed the pendant that hung around their neck. Grabbing tightly, he yanked back and stood there, his very being absorbing all light around him.

Just as Gunryu started uttering words, Owl disappeared, not far behind him in a tree. "A double Zanpaktou. And with the absorption..." he mumbled. The pendant then became a combo color of black and blue as a black Aura appeared around Owl. He then hopped down and came back to the plain, looking a Gunryu. "Shall we?" he said, forming multiple, odd gestures with his hands. When he finished the signs, his right hand started crackling with electricity until his entire forearm became engulfed in it, the lighting surrounding Owl. At the same time, his Aura wrapped around the lightning as it appeared.
"This is formally called Raikiri, or Lightning Blade. It's a good technique for finishing people off." said Owl, looking at Gunryu the whole time. He then ran forward at high speeds, right in front of Gunryu in not even two seconds as he went to jab through his heart with the Raikiri arm.
